Wood Sculpture: Sticks, Patterns and 2x4s. This is a beginning-level wood sculpture course devoted to the knowledge of wood, the tools used to shape it, and the conceptual practices employed. Students will learn the shop, joinery, carving, lamination, pattern making, and conventional fabrication techniques. Art majors are given preference. Letter grade only.
